ASTER KRUISBRINK (1999, NL)
based in Amsterdam

Aster graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2021. She creates installations for specific locations, offering an interactive experience or product. In her current work, she is researching paint made with plants. A recurring theme in her work are the mountains, the environment where she can always escape to, even in her daydreams.

“I blend my imagination with everything I see and hear around me, especially in nature. To bring my ideas to life, my work involves experimenting with unconventional (bio)materials and various techniques. Ideally, I spend my entire day creating and learning from experiments. That’s why I consider myself an experimental artist.

Ultimately, I aim to encourage people to view their surroundings with more wonder.”
